Peragon Bed Covers

The patented design allows the Peragon cover to retract "accordion style" into a compact position in the front of the bed. This folding design eliminates the bulky canister traditionally used by retractable covers. With Peragon's innovation, you lose minimal box space.

The cover can be quick-released from the frame in under a minute. No other retractable cover provides flexibility that's even close. Peragon believes a cover should never interfere with how you use your truck. That seems obvious, but for our competition it must not be!

The heart of the Peragon cover design is the accordion panel system. Manufactured entirely from aircraft grade aluminum, our cover is the elite of the bed cover market. Here's a "behind the scenes" snapshot of the technology that makes it all happen.

Baked on at over 400 degrees, powder coating is a tough-as-nails finish. The satin gloss has minimal rear-view glare and hides wear and tear while blending in with the other black trim on your truck. In addition to being rugged, powder coating also provides an automotive quality appearance worthy of your truck. There's no comparison to vinyl covered or plastic retractable covers. Peragon has durability covered.

A decent quality vinyl tonneau cover will cost you around $400. We suggest that you stop and consider what you are buying for $400 - basically a piece of vinyl, some Velcro and a handful of aluminum support bows. In our humble opinion, that's pretty shameful. If that's not bad enough, here's another thought. A vinyl tonneau cover is basically an expensive umbrella over your cargo - nothing more. If you haul anything more valuable than a garden rake, a little security might be a good investment. When you consider the small increase in cost to get a Peragon, the word "Duh!" comes to mind. If we had a dollar for every time we've heard a story of someone's vinyl cover being ruined by a vandal with a pocket knife - or by the passing car throwing out a hot cigarette butt (yes, that's happened!) - we could stop selling bed covers and find a nice beach someplace!

All-Weather

Peragon provides year-round protection for your cargo. Let Nature show her worst, whether you are hauling tools for the job site or luggage for a weekend getaway, you can count on Peragon.

A seal between each panel is compressed when the cover is closed. The seals prevent water from leaking between the panels. We use only EPDM rubber for durability through extreme temperatures and sun exposure. It's the same material used for the seals on your truck. If accidentally damaged, the weather seals in the Peragon cover can be replaced.

Retractable covers are not waterproof. Covers like vinyl tarps and fiberglass lids will provide a higher level of protection from rain since they wrap one piece over the entire bed. Of course, vinyl covers offer no security and fiberglass lids prevent you from hauling taller cargo. The Peragon cover is designed to provide you with flexibility to haul cargo, while offering lockable security when you need it. We combine that flexibility with a reasonable level of protection from the elements.

The Peragon cover was engineered and tested in the bitter cold of northern Minnesota to perform well even in the face of Nature's worst. An ice storm or a snow drift over the back of your truck will quickly tell you whether you made the right choice for a bed cover. If you have a Peragon, you can rest easy.

Low Profile

The Peragon Bed Cover is by far the best looking retractable cover available. Modern truck designs are as attractive as they are functional, and the Peragon Bed Cover only enhances this style. Our completely flat design doesn't have the unsightly front cover that other retractables do.

Saves Fuel

The Peragon Bed Cover can actually pay for itself through increased gas mileage. Improved air flow over the truck box reduces drag allowing you to get the most out of your fuel dollar. Factors such as motor size and gearing can cause the increase to vary, but many customers report a one to two mile per gallon improvement - or about 10%. With today's high fuel costs, that can really add up!

Easy Install

On most trucks*, the Peragon Bed Cover does not require any holes to be drilled. Our mounting brackets bolt to existing holes on the side of your stake pockets for a fast, solid installation. Other types of bed covers require many holes to be drilled. Some use clamps to mount to the side of the box, but they provide a weak installation at best and are prone to loosening over time.

Accessories

The Peragon Bed Cover allows you flexibility to add other accessories. Our one-piece rail design is machined to follow the exact lines of your truck box. This leaves the stake pockets accessible for mounting other accessories such as box rails, tie down hooks, and ladder racks. Many can be installed next to our cover without modification. However, there are so many different accessories available, we cannot possibly test and guarantee a fit with every other product on the market. Compatibility between our cover and other accessories is something each customer must determine and assume the risk for.
